This site aims to provide information and tips on budget travel, places to go to, different tourist spots, travel directions, cheap accommodations, and other travel related recommendations through travelogues, photos, and independent, honest reviews. This is mostly for the traveler who has limited funds; enjoys the challenges of backpacking; is not afraid to explore using public modes of transport, or by walking; doesn't care about luxurious accommodations, upscale hotels, and pricey restaurants; loves eating local, unfamiliar food; desires to learn about the local culture and not just the tourist hotspots.

The blog chronicles the travels of DG and Tze. They refer to themselves as Lakwatsero and Lakwatsera, respectively, in this blog.

They love traveling together and separately.
These travel partners are neither professional photographers nor good writers. They are avid backpackers who find time to discover and rediscover amazing places, people, and landscapes, and travel under shoestring budgets.
Being frustrated photographers, they take photographs of each other and the places they travel to.
